Day 2-TTT

Today, was slightly unfortunate. Our TTT started out great, but at the turn around, Lauren Catlin had a mishap which left her sprawled on the ground. Sarah, LT and myself continued on our way and finished with a 5th place. The wind was blowing, creating many changes in our line up throughout the ride. The course was out and back, with a few turns, a narrow turn around, and a sweet left turn into the finish. Kudos to Lauren Taylor for holding in the TT! She had the ride of her life and I am so excited for her!

For now, we lay in bed. The criterium is tomorrow at 9:15am, and I can not wait. After two days of hard racing, this is my finale! So excited, I can’t even put it in words! We head to the banquet tonight, where Alister Ratcliff will be crowned the D1 men’s national road race champion, along with Rotem Ishay joining him for second place. Our men also claimed 4th place in the TTT, with Luke Ramseth, Rotem Ishay, Alister Ratcliff, and Griffen Easter.

The photos are by the wonderful Chad Cheeney, our photo/amazing person joining the team. Ben stalker is doing an amazing job as our mechanic, dialing in everyone’s bike, with no flats/mechanicals/anything going wrong. Also, the coaches Dave Hagen, Jimmy Kight, and Chris McGovern, leading us to the success we are having this season!
