Day 1-Road Race

The road race was today, ladies went off at 1pm. It was hard, 6000+ feet of climbing in 58 miles. Absolutely NOT a sprinters course, but I can’t be any happier with how I did. Last year I was 50th, over 40 minutes out of 1st place, and off the back the entire race. This year, I had a call up, front row, and a whole new confidence. Some would say that 17th place really isn’t that great. My goal was to get top 15. But after last year, and this year, getting 17th, I couldn’t be happier. I was there, I caught up, I chased, I pulled, and I finished. Tomorrow the madness continues with the TTT. You can look up results on USA cycling, and also check out the FLC website for updates. That is all for now. More stories to continue after I am done being so tired.
